Womens Day Celebration

At AVK Valves Southern Africa, we believe in celebrating the people who form the backbone of our success. This National Women’s Day (09th August), we paid tribute to the remarkable women across our organisation with a heartfelt High Tea event—an occasion filled with appreciation, laughter, and unity.

A High Tea with Heart

The Alrode Training Centre was transformed into a space of celebration and elegance as AVK hosted a High Tea in honour of our female colleagues. But this wasn’t just any tea party—it was a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, led by the gentlemen of AVK, who stepped into the role of hosts with pride and sincerity. From serving teas, coffees, and a delightful spread of sweet and savoury snacks, to offering impromptu entertainment and warm words of thanks, the atmosphere was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and genuine joy. One sentiment echoed throughout the day:  “Nothing but the best for our anchors.” It was a simple phrase, but it carried the weight of deep respect and admiration for the women who bring strength, stability, and excellence to every corner of AVK.

Bridging Distances with Connection

While the celebration unfolded in Alrode, our Cape Town team joined in virtually via Microsoft Teams, bringing their snacks and sharing heartfelt messages of appreciation. Their presence reminded us that celebration isn’t confined by geography—it’s carried by spirit, intention, and shared values. The virtual connection added a beautiful layer of inclusivity to the event, reinforcing AVK’s commitment to unity across regions and departments. Whether in person or online, the message was clear: every woman at AVK is seen, valued, and celebrated.
