Leak Detection Training Initiative

"Water, a vital resource, plays a critical role in sustainable development." 14-03-2024

We’re thrilled to announce a groundbreaking partnership between AVK Valves Southern Africa, Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS), Johannesburg Water (JHB Water), Tshwane Water, and the Danish Embassy. This collaboration is launching an innovative “Leak Detection Training” initiative designed to empower municipal & water authority personnel with the necessary skills to combat water loss, considering SA is a water scares country

Why Leak Detection?

Water is a precious resource, and its conservation is crucial for sustainable development. Leak detection is not just about fixing a drip; it’s about securing our water future. Through this training, personnel will learn to use advanced technology to quickly identify and address leaks, ensuring every drop counts.

Global Knowledge

Local Impact The Danish Embassy initiative brings international expertise to the table, merging global best practices with local know-how. This synergy will enhance the capabilities of our municipal staff, making a tangible difference in our communities and reduce water losses and minimise water outages.

Empowering Our People

At the heart of this venture is our commitment to up-skill every person involved in the water supply network. By investing in people, we’re building a more resilient water infrastructure. Helping to create a culture of excellence, responsibility and accountability.

A Step Towards Sustainability

This initiative is more than just training; it’s a step towards a more sustainable and water-secure future for all. Join us in celebrating this milestone as we work together to ensure every drop of water sustains or brings life!
