AVK’s product brand portfolio comprises both local and international brands. Since the establishment of AVK Southern Africa, AVK offers Premier, Gunric, Baker Control, Cementation Engineering (CEM) and IPV (Industrial Petroleum Valves) as part of their local product range that complies to local content designation. International brands including Wouter Witzel, Orbinox, InterApp, ACMO, and Glenfield.
Premier Valves (PV) has been manufacturing and supplying a broad range of valve products in South Africa for more than 50 years. Since the acquisition of Premier Valves in 2014, AVK offer locally manufactured metal seated wedge gate valves, in both Rising and Non-Rising configurations, resilient sealing eccentric design and rubber lined concentric design butterfly valves, single door and multi-door reflux valves.
Gunric Valves, manufactured by Zenzele Valves Manufacturing (ZVM), includes triple eccentric butterfly valves, tilting disc check valves and dampers. The triple eccentric butterfly valves incorporate tri-centric sealing geometry and the laminated stainless steel or solid metal seal of the valve provides bubble tight shut-off within a wide range of temperatures and pressures.
Cementation Engineering is renowned for the production and manufacture of high-pressure mining products in South Africa and responsible for the manufacture and supply of Baker Control and IPV valves. Their range of products include pilot safety waterboards, grout pumps and cock valves. The unique combination of practical experience, cutting edge technology and commitment to product and service allows CEM to ensure that every aspect of the operation is of the highest possible standard.
Industrial Petroleum Valves
The IPV product range includes a wide variety of applications and operating conditions for the petrochemical or petroleum industry, offering excellent corrosion resistance. The IPV range specialises in reduced bore valves, full bore and trunnion mounted ball valves, single door check valves (wafer) and rubber lined butterfly valves (wafer).
Baker Control Valves
The Baker Control Valve has played a significant role in the water and mining industries since 1975. For more than 40 years they have offered a technical competitive advantage to the market by providing a 4:1 pressure reduction ratio as opposed to a 3:1 ratio. The Baker is also capable of operating at low pressures, improving the life span and maintenance of the valve and consequently reducing costs.
Since 1966, the Dutch company has been an international leader in the field. Developing and producing a wide range of high-quality industrial butterfly valves and accessories. The products are used in pipelines as shut-off valves, control valves and non-return valves. The Wouter Witzel product offer includes the EVS, EVFS, Dynaxe and Econaxe.
With more than 50 years' experience designing, manufacturing and marketing knife gate valves, penstocks, dampers, and valves for hydraulic work, Orbinox offers a comprehensive range of vales for water and industrial segments including water and wastewater treatment plants, water and waste water pumping stations, storm tanks, desalination plants and irrigation systems.
Since InterApp became part of the international AVK Group, they have been offered a product and solution portfolio for industrial and municipal sectors that is among the most comprehensive in the world. With the expertise of an international firm behind us, customers profit from seamlessly integrated solutions from a single source including the Series 820 centric butterfly valve that is suitable for corrosive fluids and high-purity applications.
ACMO has been active since 1968 and a part of the AVK group since 2018. Renowned for the designs and manufactures of hydraulic equipment for THE water distribution, water transmission, irrigation and water treatment segments, ACMO offers high pressure butterfly valves (PN40), control and needle valves. The need valves innovative design allows for flow optimization with a reduced pressure loss in the open valve position.
Glenfield Valves, located in Scotland since 1852, have been designing and manufacturing specialist engineered valves for more than 160 years. Their products are installed worldwide in countless dams, reservoir and hydropower applications and their strength lies in is providing engineered valve solutions ranging from DN50 to DN4000 in accordance with internationally recognised design standards.
