Avk is proud to state that every valve gets individually tested and that no batch testing is allowed. With this assurance it’s no wonder that the Avk valve has No Failure reports where the valve was installed under the recommended working environment and conditions. Therefore AVK Valves guarantees the RSV for 20 years, with a life expectancy of almost 50 years…

Environmental management Standard

The AVK group has production companies in 16 countries around the world. We are proud to say that all production companies are certified according to ISO 14001, the international for environmental management.

Safety Standard

Environmental sustainability in relation to our employees shall concentrate on initiatives within working environment and safety. Most of our companies around the world are certified according to OHSAS 18001, the occupational health and safety standard. We steadily reduce our target figures for accidents at work and focus on preventative actions.

About AVK South Africa

AVK Valves Southern Africa was founded in 1994 by Mr. Tjaart van der Walt and Mr Basil Starke.

It operated as an agency for AVK International for a period of 2 years.In 1996 it became a full sales company (subsidiary) of the AVK Group with the current ownership of 33,3% Tjaart van der Walt, 33,3% Basil Starke and 33,3% AVK Holdings (International).

AVK has since it's inception become on of the leading valve suppliers for the water, sewage and mining as well as fire protection industries on the African continent.

AVK South Africa has two branches, a main warehouse situated in Pretoria and a distribution warehouse situated in Cape Town.

With numerous agents like DPI Incledon, Sizabantu Piping, D&D Amanzi, Floquip, Intermine Enginering etc. We are responsible for supplying the product range to all regions on the African continent, south of the equator.

We maintain very high stock levels of valves and accessories to supply the demand of all sub saharan countries with the majority market share of almost 60% on the continent.

Being fully aware that we are unable to control all our markets from one central place, we have local sales distributors in most of the countries on the African continent.

We are part of the AVK group which is an international industrial Group that has been created through the efforts of dedicated people using advanced technology in products and processes to achieve the highest standards of quality products and services. AVK has achieved strong leadership positions within our four segments namely Water Sewage, Fire Fighting and Gas Industry.

AVK has today own production units, sales companies, agents and license partners in more than 50 countries, and our products and services are supplied to more than 80 countries worldwide. This global network permits close co-operation with our end-users ensuring high service and customer satisfaction.
The Valves & Fittings Division manufactures products for water supply, gas distribution, sewage treatment and fire fighting.
The Energy Division has a leadership position within control, distribution, and measuring in the field of gas and district heating.
The High-Tech Division focuses on niche fields such as rubber technology, industrial components for automation industry, tools for CNC-machines and factory material handling systems.
The brands we hold include Glenfield Valves, Eurovalve Wouter Witzel, World Valve, Byran Donkin (Gas), Mittelmann Armaturen, Hauten Marnaise (HMSM), Guest & Chrimes, Blakeborough etc. and these broaden the AVK range and allows us to cater to sectors requiring valves that are under the avk umbrella but not manufactured under the AVK brand.

Avk Centurion Action Cricket

Avk Valves Centurion played an Action Cricket game with all the players originating from within the company.. Most of the players haven’t even played Cricket in their live but for them it was the experience of a lifetime and just maybe there is a new Gibbs or AB in the making…

The best result was that the two teams had to draw the match due to the last player who attempt a big shot just fall short of maximum and had to be satisfied with 5 runs to draw the totals on 48 each..

The re match is already in planning and we can be assured that everybody will now have had a taste of Action cricket and will therefore play for every possible means of a win…
